Makerere University Kicks Off 76th Graduation Ceremony in 2026
Makerere University officially launched its 76th Graduation Ceremony Today, February 24th, 2026, at the university's iconic Freedom Square. The four-day event marks a significant milestone in the institution's long-standing history of academic achievement and excellence. The ceremony began with students from the College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, College of Computing and Information Sciences, College of Education and External Studies, and the School of Law taking to the stage to receive their degrees. A total of 16,795 students are set to graduate this year, including 213 PhDs, 2,503 Masters degrees, 206 Postgraduate Diplomas, 6,343 Undergraduate Degrees, and 30 Undergraduate Diplomas.
