Joe Walker begins Kampala-Gulu trek
Road safety advocate Mr Joseph Beyanga, also known as Joe Walker, and friends began their walk to Gulu on Monday to raise public awareness about road safety. According to the 2024 Police Annual Crime Report, road crashes in Uganda claimed 5,144 lives, meaning an average of 14 people died daily. Speaking to KFM, Beyanga, while in Maganjo along the Matugga road, stated they were preparing to start their 330km journey. “The purpose of the walk is to raise awareness about road safety.
