Kitgum SACCO's 25-Year Journey to Success
John Bosco Otto, the General Manager of Kitgum SACCO, noted that the society began with a modest share capital of UGX 1.7 million in 2000. Through strategic management and a strong commitment to member service, the SACCO's share capital has surged to an impressive UGX 1.54 billion as of June 2025. Similarly, the savings portfolio has expanded dramatically from UGX 2.8 million to over UGX 7.1 billion within the same timeframe. The loan portfolio has also increased significantly, rising from UGX 43 million to over UGX 7.3 billion.
