Ambassador Nekesa Spearheads Historic NRM Sweep as 566 LC1 Chairpersons Go Unopposed Across Bukedi
In a resounding show of grassroots strength, the National Resistance Movement (NRM) has secured a dominant early victory in the Bukedi sub-region, with 566 LC1 chairperson candidates declared unopposed across six districts ahead of the July 28 Local Council elections. All of them are official NRM flag bearers. The landmark result, highlighted in official party communications, covers 2,506 villages in Pallisa, Busia, Butaleja, Butebo, Kibuku and Budaka districts.
